Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope your day was as great as mine. Thanksgiving is
the one day a week that I get up excited to prepare a meal.
This morning and every morning, I wake and realize the
Lord has given me another day to spend with family and friends and I must make
it a great day and Thanksgiving is doubly great.
It is the day I get to spend with the people I love
and share the things I am grateful for. I am grateful to be alive, for my
family, and friends. I am also grateful for who I am and all the wonderful
things and people who help me to be a better person. Each day I work to be
better than the day before.
There is one dark spot on this day. It is the first
Thanksgiving in which my mother is not here to share with us. I am not sad
however, because I know she and my son are together and rejoicing with us and
for us. Happy Thanksgiving, Mom and Tamboura. I miss you.
